I like this article! As a parent with a very active 6 year old son, I find it important to monitor the types of games my boy plays and the amount of time he plays them on a regular basis.

He loves Monday Night Combat and Halo: Reach but he also loves the classics all on his own. Of course I spurred him to that by downloading the best games I used to think a kid would ever need...

Contra, Mario, Sonic, Pong, Tetris, Ninja Turtles etc...

Basically kids will play what you give them to play and they will love it. If all you give them is Ecco the Dolphin then that is going to be the most amazing thing to them. But set your young one down and say here drive this car in GTA or shoot these guns in Black Ops then are you asking for a problem? IMO absolutely. No kindergartner should be at school chatting about killing noobs online. You might just get a call from a concerned teacher

man I miss Sega. I used to rock mortal combat on sega. I remember with Lu Kang you could just drag your thumb over a,b,c fast and do the bicycle kick over and over hah. my brother and I had to tape our thumbs after a while they got raw.

oh and ren and stimpy!
