What is a "Splash Pack"?
Well it's the name I came up with 3 years ago when I released the first splash pack. It originally started as just a zip file that contained a "splash" screen (the background image in the game menu, now called the console image). Back in pre CS 1.6 days, there was the Splash Screen and there was a separate console screen.
Well, this pack is much more than a replacement console screen. What's in the pack is a replacement for nearly everything in Counter Strike Source. The contents of this pack contain all new player skins, all new weapons skins and/or models, all new sounds, all new hostages, a new hud, a new console screen, new props, new radio command sounds, new win sounds, new music, new sprites, and a couple of exclusive releases you will only find in this pack. All said and done, this pack replaces/adds over 1000 files!
I want to thank all the people involved in making this pack happen. First and foremost, all of the incredibly talented people that made the models, skins, sprites and sounds etc, YOU ALL ROCK!
I also want to give a special shout out to all the guys over at the Clan of the Dead Goat Forums and to the folks over at hl2world forums. Many of the models/skins in this pack came from those communities. The modelers, skinners and artists over there were completely helpful and very gracious in allowing us use of their creations. Many of them said that they had used our old packs in CS 1.6 and earlier versions and loved them. We got some great feedback from those communities. If you're looking for models, skins and the like, those are the places to go.
We were very carefull in trying to obtain permission from everyone to use their creations in this pack. It is possible that we were not able to contact some of the creators for this pack. We at PAF are commited to making sure that all of the wonderful artists that made the things in this pack are properly recognized and given credit for their work. By no means is PAF taking credit for any file in this pack not otherwise specified in the credits below. There are some custom created content exclusive to this pack and that is all listed with the rest of the credits.

Custom Sounds and Music Primary Contributors:
Mix Master of WS Designs has generously supplied us with a cornucopia of custom sounds that he engineered for his own project but was so generous as to share them with the PAF community. Thanks Mix. His team, WhiteShadows Design is a creative group of people who decided to offer the community something special, and their specialty is for the moment sound design. The hope is to expand their borders as they get more skilled and diversified members.

Brian Plaskon is a Team Lead for the development of a HL2 MOD called Ghetto Blaster, which is nearing a beta release. Many of the sounds in our pack are custom from Brian and we thank him for his contribution.

Nick Huffman, aka {PAF}Donkey, not only compiled and assigned the sound files but also authored some of the effects you hear in this pack.

Ken DeRouchie, aka {PAF}SoopaFlyYT Owner and operator of Punk Ass Fraggers created several pieces of original music to replace music in cs_office, de_dust and cs_italy. He also created the new music in the main menu as well as the team win sounds. All of this music was written and recorded by him.
Other sounds were also used in this pack from unknown authors. Please note that the PAF has not made any claims of originality in the use and distribution of these sounds and that every effort was made to attain permission for such application.
