The concept behind Halo 2: Combat Evolved is to have a more skillful and balanced game of Halo 2, while putting in some fun elements along the way. I take many elements that were in Halo 1, but weren't in Halo 2, and putting them right back into H2:CE. You might have seen some people's displeasure from Halo 2's release because it was a much less skilled game, coupled with Spray 'n Pray action (sites like halo2sucks.com can be used as a prime example in this case). H2:CE takes the game back to its roots, balances the game, makes it much more skillful, and you will always have a chance with your trusty Pistol. Don't be confused though, it's not easy to get a Four Shot Kill with a Pistol in H2:CE, you have to practice to consistantly get them, but I guarantee that you'll see yourself progressing each day in the game.
